If your partner wants a relationship, actually *wants* it, not feels obligated, then be completely honest.

"This is what you did, this is how it affected me, this is how you can make amends. No, you don't get to set terms because I'm telling you what *my* needs are in this. If you can't accommodate them, then I will move on without a relationship with you."

Parents, siblings, family in general, are NOT owed a relationship with you just because you're related by blood or marriage.
