Also, it seemed like it was only a few weeks of "50+! 40+!! 18+12+GOOOO!!!NOMASKS!!"

There were a lot of people (IMO) that were still on their first shot.
I'm not saying the mask mandates should stay up forever, but it was a few weeks / month too soon.
