Yes, it says sneakers in the name. They were cheaper than this ($25) and if I end up using them a lot, I'll probably get a Vans version someday

More like "date night" casual. My work shoes are hiking boots and I rarely wear my suit for the dress shoes so this will fill in the gap -- nm
