Ultimately, I think it's CTW's call.

I would have no problem with gay Sesame Street characters, new or existing, and it's probably a good idea for representation based on their mission about representing everything in a neighbourhood. But if they say, no, these two are not gay, and this is why we don't want them to be, then to me that settles it.
