I just tried to call the IRS. It is 7:22AM central time. The line told me because of call volume I can't wait on hold and to call back.

This is such BS. They've completely degraded any help capability. They need more funding but it's clear they are doing as terrible a customer service job as possible in order to boost their case.
Responses:
That they don't have a system to call you back is a failure. I had the same issue with unemployment last year.
