There's a $650 promo for bringing a line from another carrier, but there's $450 for existing/new customers opening a new line.

The thing is I can just transfer my SIM card from my old phone to new, so I wouldn't *need* a new line, I don't really want to dump my old one, but if I do they'll have no more extra income in line fees from me, so I don't understand what the incentive is for them to restrict it to line service.

Moving a sim card from one phone to another isn't as great as one might think. It can gimp your connectivity at best, and make some services unusable. - Qale Jun 5, 17:02 1
