Yeah, I don't think they're taught to hit to all fields. Most guys, especially guys with +power, are taught to maximize that power and that means

pulling the ball. It's rare for a guy with +power to be an all field power hitter.
It can be fixed but it does mean guys will have to not try and hit a HR every single at bat and right now that's not the mindset of the players or the teams.

I think change needs to start before they get to MLB as it's likely too late to break their bad habits or teach them to change their swing. Guys rarely change their swing. It does happen but usually because they've sucked for too long.
