For a film that length I needed a plot rather than just a premise. Found none of the songs memorable. Only one lead was a decent dancer.

I always cry at musicals, closest I got was slightly misty eyed at the smaltz. I suspect if I saw this in the theatre it would have had more emotional impact what with the live singing, but I got sick of all the bloody songs about their dreams (yes I know they're the Dreamer generation but the opening song covered it fine).
The musical numbers were well done though and the food looked great.
