She is stubbornly toughing this out without A/C, but she has nine fans -- three exhausting hot air from the top floor, five circulating air on the ground floor, and one drawing cool air up from the basement.

I was over there half an hour ago to check on a few thermometers I covertly placed around her house. It's currently 84 deg. F. inside her house, but she says she is comfortable, but doesn't want to leave.

As a precaution, though, I've got hotel reservations on speed dial, and an air bed here in the ADU for her if she needs it.

I've got a really good heat pump and am easily keeping the interior temp in the ADU to a manageable 77 deg. F.

I'm worried though, because the forecast low is now 84 deg. F. That is 8 deg. F. above the average high for this day.

And the forecast high for tomorrow is ... 115 deg F.

But then, tomorrow night, the low is supposed to drop to about 70 deg F -- or even a bit lower.
