well, they can be. I've known so many people that have had issues with them, and just about everyone technical I've ever spoken to about them (that have any knowledge of that kind of stuff) say the guts are just shit components.
But, I'm guessing some of them work just fine. :)
(And you're probably paying for it - they didn't give it to you, unless you're still in your "initial offer" months still.)
