Dental insurance really is a racket. I have double dental coverage yet don’t have full coverage for the gum graft AND implant I need.

I had to schedule the first part of the implant process at the end of the year so I can spread it out between 2 coverage years.
Ridiculous.

Shop around, some dentists will accept insurance only, wave copay, or discount. Not as much as they used too since the pandemic but who knows -- nm

It's is weirdly specific. You are covered for this procedure, but not if they use an elastic band or it's a Tuesday. -- nm

It should be considered more of a pre-paid discount services plan rather than actual insurance, imo. -- nm*

For my wisdom tooth extraction and gum cleaning I paid 1/3 of what it would be without insurance
