I'm curious how they could line the course to keep people off considering how long the races are each day and for how long the entire race takes.

I'm not sure they can just put up barriers or ropes for hundreds of miles especially in some areas where things are much tighter on the side.

Maybe they can focus on the areas where the crowds are the worst or where the bikers are closer together with less room to avoid other riders.
