You'd think - especially in the era of Ronald Reagan - that cars in the U.S. would be less safe and less fuel efficient, yet to import cars built in Europe, Ford had to improve their fuel efficiency and add safety features. Has that changed, or are those alleged pinko liberals in Europe in fact terrible unsafe Earth haters?
