I don’t think I’m misunderstanding you but rather suffering from living in a place where vaccine resistance is far greater and hostility is stronger.

I’d love to take the win. I personally feel like I’ve won. I made it through this losing my job, physical contacts, and have only become moderately more mental than I was to start with.
I just don’t think I’m ready to let go of the idea that the case numbers can’t rise back to the point where it’s not unlike the horror movie villain.
