Something new & weird happeed today: Browser was lagging in the extreme. I thought about cursing both my laptop and my ISP. Did not think to curse

Chrome browser. Chrome has never disappointed me before, that I can recall.

Anyway, for some reason, and as there was a gaming app that was still running smoothly on the same machine, I thought to, for once, open Edge. I am using Win10, running on a Lenovo laptop.

Edge worked like a charm! Suddenly speed was really good on the internet again. I have used Chrome always and forever - at least the last 7-8 years or more, when I stopped using IE.

What could be going on, here? Chrome auto-updates and has never grinted to a halt before, on its own - only as part of a wider issue.

  - Both Chrome and Edge are based on Chromium, the open source browser built/sponsored by Google. Microsoft has some specific features they've added in - oblique Jul 8, 09:24 1
