How many people are going to agree to installing a device that would have to pretty much monitor all the traffic going into a household?

I think the way that Nielsen was able to get people to install The Gauge was by limiting the data collection to the data specifically going to devices specified as TV's
To capture the what's being streamed on all screens for a household, wouldn't you need to take a look at all the data? I guess the device could limit data gathered to that from only certain sources.
Hmmmmm....I guess that there has to be some type of data analysis going on with the current version cause the current boxes know not that it is just Netflix but a specific show on Netflix.
And yes, I know, I know my ISP has all of this information and pretty much then some. Though there's VPNs ;-)
