So, Vader walks in, does badass shit for a minute 25ft away from the sole goal of his appearance. Never uses the Force to grab the plans.

He’s *terrible* at his job. Force-Grab the disk. Not like it’s important or anything. Nope, I’ll throw bodies around and come up 6ft short. But I’ll look badass doing it.
