There was so much bleating in the ESPN days from people who either didn't read or didn't understand the rules.

It's not fair! USA has 47 golds but Elbonia only got 1 lousy bronze and they're worth more? That's stupid! I should win the TV! Whine, whine, whine.
Never mind that just picking the 5 countries that win the most medals makes for a really boring contest.
