computer question of the day for ST .... concerning an old hard drive...
|
i switched over to a new computer a few months ago, and before doing so transfered all the documents and such that i wanted to keep off the old hard drive.
well, now i only have the old hard drive (let go of the old monitor, keyboard, etc) .... and have come to realize that a few important older documents are still on the old hard drive....
my life won't end without these documents, but it'd be very nice to have access to them again.
So here's the question....
Is it worth taking the hard drive to a local computer shop and maybe paying upwards of $30 to either have them 'dump' the hard drive onto a flash drive or pay a small fee (up to $30) to have them hook it up to a monitor / keyboard and go thru the folders and so forth myself and pull off whatever I missed that i still want?
What Would ST do ?

at almost the same price, i'd do theflash drive. later on there may be other stuff you need, so why pay 2 times to access it? -- nm
