work together very well and became friends this year, so we knew we'd be a good fit together.

She just called to tell me she's leaving. She got offered a position as a professor at a local college - this was something she wanted down the road, but she felt that even though the timing wasn't right, she would have been silly to turn it down.

I'm so happy for her but I'm also crushed.
