and depending on the quorum requirements in the bylaws, Option 3 might be just as bad if there's a dedicated enough contingent in favor of B. -- (edited)

If you abstain, are you still considered present for the purposes of a quorum, and does the proposal require the affirmative majority of votes cast, or of votes present, or of all members, in order to pass?
