The broader point is that you're likely to be a bit less of a superspreader, yes. But to a narrower point, the purpose of vaccination is to

Beat the virus and save the lives of people who get infected.

You can still get infected and become contagious after vaccination. Especially with variants in flight. The vaccine should help curtail the worst of it, but none of them have been said to be 100%.

If enough people get vaccinated, the curtailment should hopefully be sufficient to reach true herd immunity. But we're far from that level, and policies that encourage doorknob-licking will prevent us from getting there.
