Simon Biles confirmed it was an internal, mental issue that caused her to leave the competition. The rest of the team did an amazing job to get the silver. The pressure on them to be dealt a blow like that in the middle of the competition. They might have had an idea this was coming, but that isn't something you can really be prepared for.
