Speaking as someone who runs for elected position to a condo board, it annoys me when they don't come to the meetings and then bitch later.

But they still have the right to bitch if I screw them over, even if they didn't vote. *I'm* the one seeking the office on the premise that I'm going to [first do no harm][/help]. If I fail at that, I'm inviting scorn from anyone with an opinion, which is their right to express in a free society. The true onus is on the elected, not the electors.
