I'm pretty sure noone was arguing that your legal right to bitch and moan should be suspended till you cast a ballot.

the idea being, if you care enough to be vocal and argue positions and politics, either put up or shut up about it. Voting is your voice, even if you want your voice to say, "You all suck", you're free to write in Mickey Mouse.
You're free to not vote and bitch, but you're also fair game to be called a whiny bitch for doing so.
