That Bryant clip. I'm not crying, he's crying.

I'm not a fan that lives and dies with every game but the Cubs have always been my favorite team. I don’t whoop it up much when they win and I don’t cry or lose sleep when they lose. I've been a season ticket holder in the past. Other seasons I attended one or less game. I've left games after the 1st inning to drink in the bars. I’ve sat glued to my seat (or the TV) for 12 innings or more. I've seen or attended many unforgettable games and forgotten many, many more. And I even work for them now because I adore everything about Wrigley Field and get a rush every time I see the place. Many days I don’t see the field but I don’t care because the energy is there and the fans, many there for the first and only time in their lives, make it worth it.
I knew today was coming and I really wasn’t shocked but now I have my emotions. This team was not good and often not fun to watch. They needed to clean house and I know it’s the right thing to do. But seeing the Bryant clip, I realized I’m sad because I’ll still miss these guys. There were still little flashes of their brilliance and those bring memories of ’15, ’16, ’17 which I’ll always have. They can’t trade memories.
For now, GO GO WHITE SOX!!!!!!!
(Except next weekend)
