My old car has been titled in its new state, so i can tell this story now.

I sold the car to my brother. Filled out the title transfer. Easy peasy. Drove back to St. Louis.

A few days later we come to find out I hadn't signed the title transfer but the notice of sale, a little tear off sheet my state makes you submit (but not for an out-of-state sale like this one). The information in both sections is nearly identical, so you can understand my confusion.

So my brother and I got to talking -- always dangerous -- and I said, what about my niece? She's artistic. I bet she can forge my signature. You've even got a template to work with right there. Besides, the state of Kansas doesn't even know what my signature is supposed to look like. You could give them anything.

So that's what he did. My niece is so talented. She's like Veronica from Heathers, except using her powers for good. Saves us the trouble of mailing the damn thing back and forth.
