It’s in the qualifiers and they’re all pacing themselves. *many* of the athletes in the heat get to advance, and after that, a bunch more get to advance based on their time. So no one was going all out. She basically stopped in the middle of the race, then got back up, and ran down the whole pack. Except everyone is pacing themselves to conserve energy for the medal rounds. And she’s burned a lot of that energy.
