The severity will vary by state and nation. And, presumably it won't be the entire cohort - likely only a small (yet still horrifyingly large) percentage. But the US seems uniquely ill-equipped to deal with it.

This is why I'm still mostly treating it as the same as before I was vaccinated - gotta protect the kids until they can be vaxed.
