I like my terrycloth Threshold towels from Target, but I might be seeking out microfiber for my next ones. -- nm

I bought some at Costco that I still love, but that was years ago and I'm sure they've changed. -- nm

Although I did find softness is dependent on dye color. Lighter colors are softer. -- nm

I go to TJ Maxx or similar store and see what feels nice. I'm one of those cheapskate luxury shoppers. -- nm

remember if it says "Made in the USA" it's probably made by slave labor (prisoners). there's no ethical way to buy cotton, really. -- nm

If you find some please let me know as I hate my bath towels. They don't absorb well at all and feel very cold the second they get wet. -- nm

thrift store towels are great. you can get a nice rough, super-absorbent towel. -- nm

I think I would feel weird buying someone’s used towels. -- nm

100% cotton and you have to feel them. the very smooth/shiny ones don't take water off very well and are for looks. find something rougher. -- nm
