There’s a distinction between knowing what your triggers are, and knowing what they are called in a clinical setting, though, I think. -- (edited)

I think most people develop an intrinsic understanding of the former just by learning how to cope with their own personality quirks, and the latter, while potentially useful, isn’t necessarily a prerequisite to functioning around that.
