was trying to get the 115V AC unit working, it was acting weird. start digging around, find that the ground on the plug was just hanging off of nothing the next plug over, that plug had no ground. down in the main panel, the hot and neutral are both wired up hot. so dangerous.

it's been fixed, all good, but holy crap.
