As someone who 100% paid for college and law school by working and getting scholarships, I think community colleges and State colleges should be free.

I think loans should be forgiven, but a formula set up in the future. If you're an average student who has no money to go to college and can't get a scholarship, you can go to the free schools. If you want to go somewhere expensive because it's your dream, you will pay the difference between the true cost of the free education and the school you choose, no loan forgiveness, except for the programs they have now where portions of loans are forgiven if you work in lower paying government jobs. Schools that can afford to can still give scholarships and accept anyone they want.
