the real issue here is that the US college system is yet another scam designed to rip as much free cash from middle and lower classes as possible.

it's a promise of a future, but it leaves you with crippling debt and low pay. why should any job that pays less than $50k a year require anything more than trade school training? but you have EMTs, teachers, etc that have degrees with pay that's barely clearing the COL.

we can cancel debt all day long, but in the end, there are wealthy institutions that are hording wealth, not actually investing in the future of the country. there are lending institutions that are profiting as well.

the Harvard University endowment is $40.9 billion. why the fuck should anybody be paying to go there? rich people dump money into these trusts and it goes nowhere, doesn't benefit anybody but the wealthy few.

the US is currently a country that lets literally anybody come in and nickel and dime the population of the country. look at housing - international finance groups are buying homes by the bucketload and charging high rent prices. it's open season on american income.

i guess what i'm saying is you can get mad about canceling debt, and i do believe it's the right thing to do, but without a complete overhaul, this will just be an every 4 or 8 year question that will be asked over and over.
