Maybe they will be when it becomes reality.

I had to do that to get mine and it was easier than I expected. Did it online and had it a week later. -- nm

Just like voter ID, it'll be a problem for those who aren't able to get access to their birth certificate for whatever reason.

I don't exactly remember what the ID requirements were but I believe I showed my state ID, social security card, birth certificate and a piece of mail, iirc. -- (edited)

in the course of rounding up birth certificates this spring, I found out MI (trish) charges twice as much as ID (me)...frigging Wolverines -- nm
