I don't exactly remember what the ID requirements were but I believe I showed my state ID, social security card, birth certificate and a piece of mail, iirc. -- (edited)

I got the enhanced real ID. Not sure why as I don't think I'll be driving to Canada or Mexico but I went for it anyway.
