Granted, my parents and my partner have now met and get along. But it multiple years of us being together for them to initially meet. I wouldn't have doubted my mother would have taken over if something happened to me.

Our parents and brother's partners' parents have met but brother's partners' parents are still Trumpy megachurch people...they love their son...
