I use some of mine on occasion, but yeah, I kinda would rather use them for something I could never otherwise do

Like, I'll pay to fly Florida. And then points can take me to the Maldives or something.
I did use miles for my flight out to Yellowstone because prices were bonkers and the miles rate vs the cash rate was a good deal (and because of pandemic, Delta is letting us earn MQM and MQD on award tickets)
