- Loki looks the biggest for the Disney Marvel shows so far.
- Virgin River is not something I'll ever watch, but apparently tons of people do.
- Manifest is still the biggest show. Jeebus!
- Black Widow did 542 million minutes. Raya did 344 million. Cruella did 280 million minutes.
So, given all other factors, we can safely say that Black Widow is the biggest Premiere Access movie so far. We know that it made $60 million worldwide from Premiere Access that first weekend.
Disney strongly hinted that Black Widow made just over $100 million when you combine the box office with Premiere Access. That would work out to just over $20 million in the U.S for Black Widow. SambaTV estimates the U.S. number at $33 million.
Let's say it's somewhere between those two numbers. That would mean $20 million to $33 million in real dollars translated into 541 million minutes on Nielsen. If Raya follow the same ratio, it would have made between $12.7 million and $20.9 million. Cruella would been between $10.35 million and $17.07 million.
Are those ranges exact or absolutely right? Of course not. But we know enough now to say pretty confidently that Black Widow made the most money opening weekend for any Premiere Access movie in the U.S. so far.
Given how low that number is it's also easy to say that Premiere Access is not the windfall for Disney that I and others thought it would be. At least, not so far.
