The currency for the homeless here is bikes. People on nextdoor are always telling people who had their bikes stolen which encampments they should

check to see if it's there. I think they're crazy. There are a lot of machetes and guns in the encampments, is your bike worth your life? They don't call the police because they won't go after stolen bikes. Thanks Gascon!
