A friend is really suffering watching her mom being hospitalized for COVID.

Mother and uncle are both unvaxxed (friend is vaxxed). Mom was admitted last week, then released, the readmitted. Developed COVID-related pneumonia. Had severe reactions to med so had to be sedated. Will probably need to go on ventilator today. Friend flew out to see her mother Wednesday night. Sounded very shaky when I talked to her yesterday.

Mother has always sounded like a very reasonable person. No idea why she didn't get the vaccination.
