Since I trust you all, I'm genuinely curious. I don't seem to have the same level of concern as others regarding the current situation. I want people

to get vaccinated but...
Vaccines have anywhere from 67 (J&J) to 72 to 95% (Moderna/Pfizer) - Reference: https://www.healthline.com/health-news/heres-how-well-covid-19-vaccines-work-against-the-delta-variant
Presuming those numbers are "reduction in infection", we also know that the vaccines are 99%+ effective at eliminating hospitalization and death. Most reports here have the breakthrough hospitalizations around 0.08%
I already have limited exposure to non-vaccinated individuals.
Combining my exposure chance (low) with my infection chance (low), I don't feel that I have a significant risk of infection plus even if I did lose that lottery, my chance of hospitalization then is even doubly-low
Not sure what question I'm asking here other than am I being unreasonably cavalier here?

I don't want to risk catching it due to potential long hauler issues that aren't fully understood yet, but I'm not in fear, just cautious

I'll just add this: COVID is never going away, it's here forever at this point. We adapt, and move forward, the end. -- nm

I decided way back at the beginning of all this that I would not live my life in fear. I've taken all reasonable measures to protect myself.

I am not especially concerned for myself, however, the more it circulates the more chances for a further mutation, and the longer this drags on. i -- (edited)

I think you are adequately assessing your risk factors and acting accordingly.

I'm not personally concerned as I feel my risk of getting seriously low, but I do still take preventative measures to protect others. -- nm

I might feel differently if the shingles would just get the f- done, but I doubt it. I can not afford the risk.

Yeah, I don't have a problem going out with a mask on, and we have multiple trips and cruises planned in the next few months.
