In response to "LIR: Thanks all. I think this has been extra weighty for me because we had our anniversary celebration on Friday. Roughly 60 friends" by oblique

I think there is definitely a sense of non-mask-wearing peer pressure sometimes.

Not pressure or bullying, but when you're the only one or two out of 60 wearing a mask, you do feel a bit out of place.

The funeral we went to a few weeks ago, we were literally the only ones, and I kept it on in the funeral home. When we went to the house after, I felt like it was such close quarters and no one else was wearing a mask, that it was doing little to protect me anyway at that point.

But after our little scare, I'm definitely cognizant of wearing it all the time now, others be damned.
