Question for my Knoxvillian friends: I'm reading Suttree, which is largely set in Knoxville. Is this a well-known fact there?

Like, is there local lore about the novel such as "Here is the vacant lot where Suttree woke up the next morning after tying one on the night before" or "This is the boarding house where Cormac McCarthy lost all his punctuation in a poker game."
