I've never been before so I don't have a baseline of busy, but certainly there were a lot of people and parking in a number of places was very tough

to near impossible.
Some folks were implying that is wasn't as bad as it had been since school is back in some states, but it was definitely busy.
Smartest thing I did was hit Old Faithful early one morning. Like I was at the park entrance at 7:30am that morning.
