In response to ""Lose patience" is what I run into - work intuitively exactly how I want you to work or fuck off! " by Cuzzin Todd

Heh. I wonder if it is cause I kind of grew up with non-connected computers like my Apple ][+ and my friends C64 and TI-94A which weren't intuitive

and one had to go to the library or buy magazines to find out stuff instead of just searching for it that I always, ALWAYS think that it is my fault.

Oh and then building 386, 486 machines which was a whole new level of frustration (still my fault) as all I did was just add a drive or a sound card and now the whole &%^*&^(& machine won't do anything but emit some plaintive set of POST beeps. HOURS later, oh, maybe this DIP switch

But all of that kind of did away with the fear of just trying stuff. Seemingly random keystrokes was just the way stuff worked. Randomly trying different hardware settings...well, actually that was usually a way to waste insane amounts of time. Systematically changing one setting at a time when all else failed did yield results.

So now...as long as there's still one connected device available, try looking it up. Perhaps better yet STIS

Oh...and plus I've learned that my intuition isn't necessarily the most intuitive guidance ;-)
