It's a dog repellant (although, they make a cat version too--plus inside versions of both). Just spray in a perimeter around your bush and maybe some on the lower branches and dogs won't come within yards of it. Evidently, it's a synthetic version of residual dog pee smell that makes other dogs think the territory is "marked". We've used the Indoor No! spray for cats to teach them to stay off the countertops. Although, I'll warn you that it's pretty pungent (think eau d'unwashed dignan) and it would make me gag when I sprayed it inside. I'd have to leave til the smell died down. Of course, the outdoor version isn't a problem.
