Obviously the GOPers in Cali don't like him, but they are minority. What is causing (at least some it appears) non-GOPers to be considering recalling him?

Perceived hypocrisy. He shut down businesses but kept his winery open in Napa, he closed down schools but sent his kids to a private, maskless school

The turning point seemed to be the mask less party when everyone else was locked down.

tl:dr Newsom enacted pandemic responses, got caught not abiding them, recall that was in the works already got an extension because of Covid

"The recall petition focused on a variety of grievances, such as illegal immigrants, homelessness, taxes, and water rationing."

Is this like a really important answer for you to have? If we don't, do you have to do two backflips and a twist before your next mayoral election? -- nm
