One thing that article addresses briefly but doesn't go into detail (likely because it hasn't been as deeply studied!)

is that the effectiveness angle isn't a binary. The vaccine antibodies can wear off some to the point of not helping to prevent against infection, but that doesn't mean they do nothing.
