It's a game show of sorts but not one like we have here. Each season there are five comedians that are given tasks to complete both individually and in teams. There's a prize task to start the show where everyone brings in a prize to be won at the end and the prize has to fit a theme that they're given. For example, bring in the best smelling item or most unusual item. After that they show three or four tasks that were performed at the Taskmaster house and then do a live task on the stage in the studio.
The winner of each episode gets to take the prizes home with them. Though, they don't actually get to keep them. And the overall winner of the season gets the trophy which is a large golden bust of Greg's head.
When I tell you this is one of the funniest and most entertaining shows on TV I'm not exaggerating. The guest are almost always great. The tasks they're given to complete are innovative and fun to watch being done. The host, Greg Davies is great but by far the best is (little) Alex Horne his assistant.
After Bob's Burgers it's my favorite show on TV right now. It's so damn good.
